Annas Mix 11:

(32 min, light, sweet, happy)

I really love this mix. I made it on a good day for a specific road trip with my mom I was looking forward to when I was 15 I think.
I remember sitting in the car feeling really happy and proud about making such a good mix for us to enjoy.

Annas Mix 12:

(26 min, melancholic, sweet and a bit sad)

Very beautiful mix. I made this at age 15. I had just moved out of my mom’s place and I listened to it for the first while she was driving me home after visiting her. I was unhappily in love back then, my first really really hard infatuation with someone and I was also having lots of difficulties with my family.

Annas Mix 13:

(39 min, melancholic/sad)

I made this mix when I was 15 because my best friend at the time was feeling sad and I asked one of the social workers in our group home to take us for a ride so we could listen to it hoping it would cheer my friend up. I had just exchanged music collections with another caregiver and started listening to a lot of indie stuff she had shared with me like Bombay Bicycle Club, Cat Power and City & Colour. Tbh I stopped listening to a lot of the music on here.
I still enjoy the first half though.

Annas Mix 14:

(33 min, yearning, a bit melancholic)

This was originally twice as long and I cut it down to this at some point. I remember forgetting the CD in one of the cars our group home shared and one of the caregivers listened to it and complimented my taste in music. As a very mature “old soul” teen (*cough* autistic) validation from adults or older teens meant everything to me. Btw I grew to love the last song “Green Eyes” because it was one that that one social worker (that I bonded over exchanging music collections) would always sing and play on her guitar for me.

“I’m So Tired” by The Beatles

“I Believe (When I Fall in Love) by Stevie Wonder

“Beechwood Park” by The Zombies

“Sheepskin Tearaway” by Pete Doherty

“He Can Only Hold her” by Amy Winehouse

“Green Eyes” by Coldplay

Annas Mix 15:

(26 min, mostly folky stuff)

From when I was 15. I had just started smoking cigarettes and wasn’t allowed to openly smoke in my group home yet (if you got caught smoking under the age of 16 you’d lose a couple Euros of your pocket money) because I wasn’t old enough. So I would take long walks through our village listening to this and smoking one cigarette after the other.

“All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down” (Hank Williams Jr. Cover) by Elliott Smith
