• My Top 10 favorite and least favorite housewives from the Real Housewives franchise

I’ve seen almost all episodes of RHOBH, RHOC, RHONY and multiple seasons each of RHOA, RHONJ and RHOSLC. So if there are amazing or terrible housewives in other shows of the franchise or later seasons they are not intentionally excluded, I just don’t know them enough.

Some choices might seem a bit random.
My favs are mostly ranked on how entertaining they are without being so evil that I completely hate them as people. (obviously they’re all kind of terrible people and behave extremely mean in their respective shows, but I still like their personalities)

My least favorites are all either so evil/mean that I’ve lost all sympathy (Tamra) or unlikeable/pretentious/pick mes in a way that’s infuriating to me (Carole) or just so boring that they made their seasons worse imo (Teddi+Eileen).

    TOP 10 favorite:

    1. Sonja Morgan (RHONY seasons 3-13)
    2. Lisa Rinna (RHOBH season 5-12)
    3. Kathy Hilton (friend of the Housewives, RHOBH seasons 11+12)
    4. Dorinda Medley (RHONY seasons 7-12)
    5. Erika Girardi a.k.a. Erika Jayne (RHOBH seasons 6-14)
    6. Nene Leakes (RHOA seasons 1-7, 10-12)
    7. Kim Richards (RHOBH seasons 1-5)
    8. Bethenny Frankel (RHONY seasons 1-3, 7-11)
    9. Brandi Glanville (RHOBH seasons 3-5)
    10. Gretchen Rossi (RHOC seasons 4-8)

    TOP 10 least favorite:

    1. Tamra Judge (RHOC seasons 3-14, 17-19)
    2. Teddi Mellencamp (RHOBH seasons 8-10)
    3. Carole Radziwell (RHONY seasons 5-10)
    4. Adrienne Maloof (RHOBH seasons 1-3)
    5. Kelly Bensimon (RHONY seasons 2-4)
    6. Eileen Davidson (RHOBH seasons 5-7)
    7. Kyle Richards (RHOBH seasons 1-14)
    8. Leah McSweeney (RHONY seasons 12-13)
    9. Dorit Kempsley (RHOBH seasons 7-14)
    10. Lisa Vanderpump (seasons 1-9)

  • Top 10 Most Perfect Songs according to me

Okay, so I know my choices might seem a bit random at first. But if you’d listen to them you’d find that they all have a certain vibe that is very…me. This is what perfect music is supposed to be (for me). The songs all hit just the right spot between melancholy and sweetness without being too depressing to enjoy while in a good mood, they all have amazing lyrics and at least 3 are featured on movie soundtracks that I love (which gives them a bonus positive association for me at least). Can anyone guess the movies? 👀
They are songs that I never get tired of despite having listened to most of them hundreds of times since I was a teenager.
Also I truly believe that most of them are just objectively amazing and that I could show them to random people (with good taste) and they’d all have a Zach Braff in Garden State moment.

Also, full transparency: this is not really a new list, it’s based on a spotify playlist I made 1 1/2 years ago. I just picked my 10 favs and ranked them. Here’s the link if you wanna see the rest:

  • The Movies I’ve rewatched the most in the last couple of years

I’ve started logging every movie I watch on Letterboxd in October 2022. In-between then and now these are the movies I’ve (re)watched 3 or more times.

Letterboxd also counted John Mulaneys newest special (watched 5 times), Bo Burnham’s Make Happy special (3 times) and the Netflix docu-series about Ghislaine Maxwell (3 times) but I don’t.
I am also a bit ashamed of the last one because I didn’t even think it was good the first time. Don’t ask me why I’ve watched it so many times. I have no idea.

Silver Linings Playbook – 5 times
I love this movie so so much. For me it’s one of those movies you can watch when you feel completely hopeless and by the end your hope and faith in love and happiness is completely restored.

    Chungking Express – 5 times
Cult classic. I was really obsessed with it for a little while and showed it to multiple people. Tbh I’m low-key already kind of sick of it by now. I think I’ve rewatched it one too many times.

    Past Lives – 4 times
Celine Song had me at the Eternal Sunshine mention. Probably one of the best directorial debuts I’ve ever seen. (I should make a list about that) I’m sooo hyped for Materialists.

    May – 3 times
My favorite horror movie atm. May is so me (except for the murdering people aspect). I actually found this movie through an “autistic girls” movie list on Letterboxd. May is not canonically autistic though, but it’s heavily implied with the way she’s written.

    Eighth Grade – 3 times

Bo Burnham channeling his own anxiety through a coming-of-age story about a 14 year old girl who’s extremely awkward, insecure and unpopular? Yes please!

Me and You and Everyone We Know – 3 times
One of my favorite movies. I probably rewatched it an extra 3-5 times in the year before I made a Letterboxd account. I was very obsessed with it for a while.

    Kajillionaire – 3 times
Another heavily autistic-coded protagonist in this one that I identify with strongly. Also probably my favorite sapphic love story of all time.

    Adaptation. – 3 times
Genius movie and my favorite Nic Cage performance(which says a lot for me). Great for when you feel pathetic and insecure.

    Anomalisa – 3 times
A stop motion movie about a guy who has a disorder which makes every person look and sound the same to him. But then he meets a girl (played by one of my favs Jennifer Jason Leigh) who doesn’t and romance and drama ensues…
Warning: graphic puppet sex scene. Might be a bit awkward to watch with others.

    Jane Wants a Boyfriend – 3 times
A movie about an autistic woman in her 20s who’s obsessed with movies. I mean come on! This was basically made for me.

    Twilight – 3 times
It’s like my own personal brand of heroin.

    Booksmart – 3 times
Probably the funniest teen movie of the last ten years.

    Bottoms – 3 times
Fight Club but a teen rom-com for lesbians is such a great premise. Also I love Ayo Edebiri and Rachel Sennot in everything.

    Fallen Angels – 3 times
The unofficial sequel to Chungking Express. Sort of its darker and raunchier counterpart, but still with similar themes (criminal activities, unrequited love, feeling lost)

    Mean Girls – 3 times

    Wicked – 3 times

Bridget Jones’ diary – 3 times
There’s a special bond between a girl and the movies that gave her body dysmorphia growing up. <3

    Love Actually – 3 times
Does it still make me feel things? Yes. Do I think it aged horribly and do I love to hate it? Also yes.

(the last two I rewatch once every year on Christmas)

  • Top 10 loser girl representation in movies

If you know of more (good) movies that fit the description please tell me. It’s like one of my favorite genres. I love loser girls. They make me feel seen. <3

The main girl(s) needs to be really unpopular/bullied and socially awkward in a school setting or grown up and a real fuck-up who can’t get their shit together resulting in their life falling apart.
Bonus if they still live with their parents and have max. 1 friend and fail to date anyone (successfully).

    1. Muriels Wedding
    2.Welcome to the Dollhouse
    3. May
    4. Frances Ha.

  • Bands and musicians I’ve wanted to or still want to see play live

I’ll sort the names in different catagories:

“will never happen” (because they died or the band broke up/stopped touring or someone turned out to be a nazi piece of shit *cough* Kanye *cough* Morrissey *cough*. Bob Dylan is in that category because I don’t think I will ever be able to afford a ticket lol)
“has sort of happened” (I’ve seen parts of a band play their music for example -> John Cale playing Velvet Underground songs live or because I have technically seen them at a festival but I was too tired to appreciate it or had to leave for another concert after two songs)
    “has happened”
“should’ve happened” (because I had tickets but then couldn’t go for some reason or because they played at a festival I was at but I didn’t go to the concert)
and “could still happen” (I have put some bands in there that don’t tour atm/have broken up but I, for some reason still have hope)

Another disclaimer: I have seen way more concerts and I want to see way more artists than are on the list. These are only the ones that felt significant.
Also some artists I wouldn’t wanna support these days because of things that have come out about them that weren’t known at the time I saw them live but the concerts were still great so it felt wrong to exclude them. (Die Antwoord and Amanda Palmer)

*”Regina Spettro” was meant to be Regina Spektor. My computer autocorrected and I didn’t notice until it was too late

Also I forgot to put Mazzy Star in the will never happen catagory. 🙁

  • Ranking of the concerts I’ve seen at Primavera Sound ’25

My ranking is on how much enjoyment I’ve gotten from watching the shows. The charli xcx show would’ve probably been in the Top 3 if the organisers had better crowd management so I didn’t get crushed and grabbed by strangers the whole time.
Also I only saw parts of some shows because of schedule conflicts, so that also diminished some experiences (ANOHNI and Sabrina Carpenter).

Also sorry for the relatively long absence. I was on holiday for a week and really stressed/burned out before and after.

  • My Top 10 Favorite 90s teen movies (fun)

    2. 10 things I hate about you (1999)
    3. But I’m a Cheerleader (1999)
    4. Dazed and Confused (1993)
    5. The Doom Generation (1995)
    6. Election (1999)

Honorable Mentions: Clueless (1995), Can’t Hardly Wait (1998), Dick (1999), The Opposite of Sex (1998), American Pie (1999)

(Most of the honorable mentions are guilty pleasures because of how problematic and/or stupid they are, so please don’t judge me too harshly for how much I love them)

  • Fictional characters and famous(-ish) people somebody once told me I remind them of

    • Rogue from X-Men
I haven’t seen any X-Men movie since I was a teenager so I don’t remember that well how Rogue’s character is and the details of her story and accordingly cannot tell how accurate the comparison was/is. The guy who told me I remind him of her was some older dude who was pretty creepy towards me (I was 15-16), so maybe the extend of the similarity were my tits or something. Idk
Is somebody who knows me an expert and can tell me wether or not I actually have traits in common with Rogue?
    • Hannah from Girls
This one actually came from my best friend when I was 18 and I am insulted by it to this day. I don’t really like “Girls”. I’ve seen a couple of seasons because I was intrigued by the fact that the main character isn’t thin (that was such a rarety in media when I was a kid/teenager that that alone made it worth watching), but I always thought the titular girls were mostly unlikeable. The main thing I remember about Hannah is how spoiled and not down to earth she was.
I kind of hope that I reminded my friend of her only because I had a similar body type.
    • Willow from Buffy
This one came from one of my best friends a couple of years ago and I still feel very honoured by it.
I loooove Willow! She’s nerdy, awkward, talkative and overly excited a lot and I can totally see myself in her character.
      So thank you, friend. <3
    • Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Multiple people have said that to me, but I’m honestly not sure if it isn’t just because I have been so obsessed with that movie for such a long time that I modelled my aesthetic after her when I was a teen (maybe a bit of my personality too😬). Anyway, I am fine with that comparison. With time, I kind of moved away from being obsessed with Clementine to being obsessed (and relating to) Mary Svevo. So I don’t identify with her as much as I used to, but I can definitely still see a lot of myself in her.
Btw I have had one friend who explicitly told me I am nothing like her because she didn’t like her or the movie. We are not friends anymore.
    • Jennifer Lawrence
So, this is the weirdest one in my opinion. Someone first told me I looked a bit like her when I was in my late teens and it was a guy who had a crush one me so I didn’t take it serious because I thought he probably just wanted to say something flattering. But then years later I got it again multiple times by a (straight) girlfriend of mine and I don’t think she had any agenda when saying it. I never got any other comparisons to celebrities. Maybe just a weird concidence.
I still don’t see it at all. I am kind of flattered but also confused.
    • The girl on the cover of Elliott Smith’s first album “Roman Candle”
Roman Candle was the first Elliott Smith album I ever got on vinyl and I’ve had the cover from it framed in my kitchen for many years. When my mother was at my place for a visit once she saw it and asked me if the picture in the frame was a photo of me, which confused me a lot because I for some reason always thought it was Elliott Smith on the cover and only realised it wasn’t when she asked me about it and then kept insisting that the person looks a lot like me.
I kind of see it a bit.
